Dr Fakir’s academic journey began with exceptional achievements, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BChD, earning the class gold medal and seven additional academic awards.
Recognised early for his research potential, he presented his first international paper at the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) in Hawaii at just 19 years old. This milestone set the foundation for his lifelong commitment to scholarly contributions and professional growth.

Dr Fakir also leads the Peninsula ITI Study Club as Director and is currently the president of AOCMF in Southern Africa, contributing to the advancement of surgical education and clinical standards across the region. As a co-founder of the Smile in a Day Dental Implant Clinic, Dr Fakir leads a specialised team focused on full-arch dental implant rehabilitation.
